Let’s Talk Bookish: 2026 Anticipated Releases.

Hello, happy Friday!
I can’t believe Christmas is a week away! This year has gone so fast, so this weeks topic definitely snuck up on me!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I live under a new releases rock. It’s very rare that I know what’s coming out unless it’s by an author I absolutely adore and have signed up to their mailing list. However, since I’ve had time this month with my surgery recovery, I have actually managed to have a good browse and I do have some 2026 books that I am looking forward to.

A lot of these categories overlap, so I’ll just include each book once, in the first category that is relevant. Also, some don’t have covers at the time of writing this, so I’ll put in pictures of my cats in their places for your enjoyment, haha.

General 2026 releases on my radar:

  • The Library of Flowers by L.C. Chu
  • Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter by Heather Fawcett
  • This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me by Ilona Andrews
  • The Iron Garden Sutra by A.D. Sui
  • Sea of Charms by Sarah Beth Durst (Spellshop 3)
  • A Trade of Blood by Robert Jackson Bennett (Shadow of the Leviathan 3)
  • A Parade of Horribles by Matt Dinniman (Dungeon Crawler Carl 8. Hear me out, I LOVED books 1 & 2, and will be reading the rest next year so book 8 will be part of that!)
  • The Forest on the Edge of Time by Jasmin Kirkbride
  • The Subtle Art of Folding Space by John Chu
  • The New Eden by JC Niala
  • Ancient by Luke Barley
  • Messenger Cat Café by Nagi Shimeno
  • Stay for a Spell by Amy Coombe (okay, I have read this one but I NEED to shout it out because I am so excited to see it released into the world!)
  • The Elsewhere Express by Samantha Sotto Yambao
  • The Last Contract of Isako by Fonda Lee
  • Seasons of Glass and Iron by Amal El-Mohtar
  • River of Bones and Other Stories by Rebecca Roanhorse
  • The Rise of the Celestials by Kritika H. Rao
  • Slow Burn by Amal Singh

  2. Aww, adorable pictures of your cattos 😍 I didn’t even think of that for the titles that didn’t have covers on my list! Good idea for next time, haha. I’m looking forward to quite a few of these too—especially Contract of Isako because I will never not be excited for a new Fonda Lee release! I hadn’t heard of Stay for A Spell but it does look like something I’d enjoy. I hope you enjoy all of these releases if/when you get to them. Speedy recovery and thanks for joining LTB this week, Emma!
