Hello, happy Friday!
I am resting and recovering from surgery this week, so I’m looking forward to having the time to actually read everyone’s LTB posts on time for once!
Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly bookish discussion meme created by Rukky @Eternity Books and co-hosted by Aria @Book Nook Bits and Dini @DiniPandaReads. Each Friday, bloggers will write posts about a particular topic and share on their blog.

Do you read holiday/winter-themed reads? Do you have any on your TBR this December?
I am one of those people who generally doesn’t theme their reads to the time of year. Occasionally I do, I enjoy something a little spookier in October, for example, but generally I just read whatever I like. I think this is fairly common among people who read primarily speculative fiction, because these sorts of books usually don’t subscribe to the typical ‘holiday read’ vibes.
As such, I don’t have any on my tbr for this winter. I do actually have a book called Frostlines that I want to get to, which is a non-fiction about the Arctic, but aside from there being snow in that environment that’s about as holiday themed as it gets.
What have been your favourites from past years?
As I said, I don’t really theme my reading, however, if I were to recommend some books I have read that would be great for this time of year they would be:
- A Midwinter’s Tail by Lili Hayward
- Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik
- Hogfather by Terry Pratchett
These three books are ones I have particularly loved over the years and have a very definite winter or holiday theme.
Are there any festive books you like to re-read during the holidays?
As much as I am a serial re-reader, I generally don’t do so over the holidays. I usually get the itch for re-reads in the new year (I have no idea why). That being said, I am really tempted to reread Hogfather this year. It’s been ages since I last read it, and it’s so much fun.
