Let’s Talk Bookish: End-of-Year Reading Goals?

Hello, happy Friday!
I have pre-written all of my LTB posts for this month already, so who knows what I am up to right now…

Goodness me, are we here already???
The answer to this is so many. SO many books. Starting university in September really chucked a big old wrench in my reading. I don’t mind, after all, it’s not like I’m in a reading contest, but there are just lots of books I’d like to get to and no time to read them!
Here’s a few…

  • A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna
  • Wild Woman by Philippa Forester
  • Monstrilio by Gerardo Sámano Córdova
  • Your Wild and Precious Life by Liz Jensen
  • Lanny by Max Porter
  • Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands by Heather Fawcett

I live under a book release rock. Honestly, I rely on my friends to figure out what I might want to buy haha. Most of what I was interested in this year is out now, but there are a couple that have my attention. I probably won’t buy them this year, let alone read them, but they are on the virtual TBR!

  • Persephone’s Curse by Katrina Leno
  • Snake Eater by T. Kingfisher
  • Dawn of the Firebird by Sarah Mughal Rana

  1. Quite a few books I want to read before the year end. I need to reach my target of 200

The Bone Thief by Vanessa Lillie
    Roommate Game by Lane Hayes
    Unbroken by Jordon L Hawk
    Omnitron by Pauline Baird Jones
After hours at Dooryard books by Cat Sebastian
    Irresistibly Wicked by Melissa Foster
A Cowboy’s Claim by Vivian Arend
Tamsyn by Veronica Scott (release in December)
Scars of Silence by Johana Gustawsson if the library comes through
These are the definates. A few others may creep in there

  3. Magical Innkeeping is on my radar for the end of the year, but like you said, there are just so many books and it never feels like I have enough time these days. This year has been so much more hectic and … Weird (in terms of mood) than I ever expected, which has really affected my reading as a mood reader, lol. I can imagine that school would have a massive impact on reading but I hope you’re enjoying whichever books you read. Dawn of the Firebird looks great and I’ve been seeing that a lot more recently so I’m adding to my TBR, lol. Thanks for joining LTB this week!

    1. Yeah I’m a bit sad that I haven’t been reading so much, because there are just so many good books I want to get to, but I also can’t be mad because I am loving my course! I definitely want to read Magical Innkeeping asap though.
I’ll be honest, the cover for Firebird is what sucked me in haha!

  4. Ooh, Wild Woman looks great and I’ve added it to my list of possibles for me and my best friend to read together!

This month, I want to finish reading some short nonfiction, as well as 1.25 NetGalley books published this month, then next month I have my own Dean Street December, I have nine paperbacks and four e-books from Dean Street Press to read, and I’m also taking part in Doorstoppers in December, so have four large books I want to get done. That’s as far as I’m planning at the moment.
