Hello, happy Friday!
I have pre-written all of my LTB posts for this month already, so who knows what I am up to right now…
Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly bookish discussion meme created by Rukky @Eternity Books and co-hosted by Aria @Book Nook Bits and Dini @DiniPandaReads. Each Friday, bloggers will write posts about a particular topic and share on their blog.

What books do you want to read before the end of the year?
Goodness me, are we here already???
The answer to this is so many. SO many books. Starting university in September really chucked a big old wrench in my reading. I don’t mind, after all, it’s not like I’m in a reading contest, but there are just lots of books I’d like to get to and no time to read them!
Here’s a few…
- A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna
- Wild Woman by Philippa Forester
- Monstrilio by Gerardo Sámano Córdova
- Your Wild and Precious Life by Liz Jensen
- Lanny by Max Porter
- Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands by Heather Fawcett
Are there any new releases you’re still looking forward to?
I live under a book release rock. Honestly, I rely on my friends to figure out what I might want to buy haha. Most of what I was interested in this year is out now, but there are a couple that have my attention. I probably won’t buy them this year, let alone read them, but they are on the virtual TBR!
- Persephone’s Curse by Katrina Leno
- Snake Eater by T. Kingfisher
- Dawn of the Firebird by Sarah Mughal Rana
What goals did you set at the beginning of the year? Have you changed or added to those goals?
I set my goals in my 2025 Reading Plans post, and I thought they would be super doable, not realising how crazy the year would turn out to be!
My main goals were to complete r/Fantasy Bingo, read my Friend’s Recommend books, read books I own and read more diversely. These haven’t changed, but I have had to accept that I just won’t complete Friend’s Recommend haha. Not even close. r/Fantasy doesn’t finish till next April, so that one is fine, and I have been reading diversely, and from my owned books.
Overall, I’m still feeling good about my goals. They don’t need adjusting because I’ll just carry my lists into next year.
