Last week I only finished one book, Hummingbird Salamander by Jeff Vandermeer.
I wanted to love this eco thriller, but sadly the last third almost put me in a reading slump. It started SO well, so I was both surprised and disappointed.

I’m currently reading 3 books.
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer is still kind of on pause, but it is still on my reading list and I am hoping to read a few more chapters this month.
I am still reading Beauty of the Beasts by Jo Wimpenny, a non-fiction about the lesser-loved creatures of the world. I’m taking my time with it and really enjoying how its written.
Lastly, I am reading The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri as my fiction pick. This is a reread for me, but as it’s the club pick for r/Fantasy this month, and I am running it I thought it best to read it again so I can come up with some good questions!
Up Next…
Next up I want to read Venomous Lumpsucker by Ned Beauman, as it’s just become available for me through my library. When I finish a non-fiction, I will then start Ocean by David Attenborough and Colin Butfield.
