Happy Wednesday and happy June!!!
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam Taking On A World of Words, where bloggers answer the following questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?
Just Finished…
Since last week I have finished 3 books.
The first was There is No Antimemetics Division by qntm. This was a group buddy read and it was quite a mind-bender! It also reminded me of the fact that I am terrible at predicting things. This has unsettling vibes similar to Annihilation so pick it up if you enjoy that.
Next up I read She’s a Killer by Kirsten McDougal. This is a climate fiction with a thriller type twist. I wanted to like this more than I did, but the ending was just a big old bag of disappointment.
Finally I read Strange Pictures by Uketsu. This was a super quick read and I really enjoyed the format. I definitely want to pick up the other books in the series.
Currently…
I’m currently reading 3 books.
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer is still kind of on pause, but it is still on my reading list and I am hoping to read a few more chapters this month.
I’m reading Hummingbird Salamander by Jeff Vandermeer, an eco-thriller that is making for very tense reading!
Finally, I have picked up Beauty of the Beasts by Jo Wimpenny, a non-fiction about the lesser-loved creatures of the world. I am not far in yet but I already enjoy how the author writes.

Up Next…
I have a few books on the pile next. Fiction-wise, I want to read Juice by Tim Winton or The Sea Within by Missouri Van. I also need to re-read The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri for a bookclub this month. Non-fiction-wise I also want to read, or at least start, Ocean by David Attenborough and Colin Butfield as it’s the monthly pick for Rewild YourShelf.
