WWW Wednesday: 20/05/26

,

Happy Wednesday! I think it’s been nearly a month since I did this meme, oops.

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?
Just Finished…

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these and I’ve read a few books, but I’ll just share the most recent two.
First, I read If We Cannot Go at the Speed of Light by Kim Choyeop, translated by Anton Hur. I really, really liked this collection of short stories. It was poignant and very creative.

A couple of days ago I finished The Other Valley by Scott Alexander Howard. This was a brilliant book about time travel, but rather than focusing on actually travelling, it was more about the ethics and consequences of it.

Currently…

I’m currently reading 4 books.

I am buddy reading Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb with a couple of Pagebound friends. We’re going about a chapter a day, and it’s very exciting to finally be entering this world!

I’m still reading Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, another buddy read. This got paused for a little bit, but I’m still loving doing such an intentional reread.

I’m listening to Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. This is a reread for me, as I’d like to be refreshed before continuing where I left off when I was reading a couple of years ago (I finished book 3). I’m listening to this mostly in the car and when I’m eating, but it’s going by quickly!

Finally, I am reading Under the Eye of the Big Bird by Hiromi Kawakami. This is super strange and very dystopian, I have been meaning to read it for ages, but I’m not totally sold yet.

Up Next…

I have no idea what I’ll be reading next. I have a handful of non-fiction to go through so I’ll try and pick one of them. For fiction, I have a few library holds ready, so I will probably choose She’s a Killer by Kirsten McDougall.

YOU TELL ME: What are you currently reading?

Hi friends!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet!
