WWW Wednesday: 08/04/26

,

Happy Wednesday! I’m on Easter break from uni at the moment, so I’ve set aside some time to get back into the blog (yes I should be working on my assignments…)!

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?
Just Finished…

I just finished Lab Girl by Hope Jahren this morning. That’s the only book I finished since last week. I… did not like it. Honestly, I should have DNFed, but I wanted to see if it redeemed itself since I originally had high hopes.

I won’t review this one on the blog, but basically, despite being a great scientist (I have read some of her papers), the author is terrible to the people around her and I really didn’t like how she spoke about her students.

Currently…

I’m currently reading 2 books.

I’ve started up An Unnatural History of Britain by Kevin Parr again. Still enjoying it!

I’m also reading First Mage on the Moon by Cameron Johnston. Kind of on theme historically with the moon fly-by and all that! This is an ARC that was kindly sent by Angry Robot, and it is pretty fun! I’ll have a review up on the 20th.

Up Next…

I am planning to read Endling as my next fiction book, which will be another Climate Fiction Prize shortlisted book done. For non-fiction, if I finish my current I will pick up Beauty of the Beasts by Jo Wimpenny.

YOU TELL ME: What are you currently reading?

  1. I’m currently reading Meet me in Italy by Brenda Novak.

In the last week I read 🥁

    1 Blindside by Michael Mammay.
2 This Guy by Lane Hayes

Next up will be the last few Alien Huntsman series by Honey Phillips. I’m loving this series, based on fairy tales
