WWW Wednesday: 30/4/25

,

Hello, happy Wednesday. This is the only post I’ve not pre-scheduled for the week! Wales is lovely, unseasonably warm, but I’m ignoring that fact so I can enjoy the holiday!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly recap meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words, where we share what we’re reading and what’s up next on the tbr.

I’m about halfway through A Barrister for the Earth by Monica Feria-Tinta. Hoping to finish it this week, it’s absolutely fantastic, both distressing in its detail of environmental harm and hopeful with the tireless work of the author the right the wrongs.

I have also started Mischief Acts by Zoe Gilbert and I’m loving it so far. It’s follows the myth of Herne the Hunter through many years and individual stories.

The Prince Without Sorrow by Maithree Wijesekara and Her Majesty’s Royal Coven by Juno Dawson. Both were excellent and I’ll have reviews up soon.

As I’ve said for the last few Wednesday’s, I have The Lost Folk by Lally Macbeth once I’ve finished A Barrister for the Earth. I also plan to pick up The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett for my next fiction.

  3. What a beautiful bright and sunny photo! 😍 Mischief Acts sounds fantastic. I hadn’t heard of it before your mention but it seems like the kind of story I’d have a fun time reading. I can’t wait to see your thoughts on it but it’s defo going on the TBR wishlist now. I hope you have an amazing week for reading and otherwise!
