Hello, happy Wednesday. I hope you’ve been reading some good books this week!
WWW Wednesday is a weekly recap meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words, where we share what we’re reading and what’s up next on the tbr.
What are you currently reading?
I am getting to the end of Pathfinding by Kerri Andrews, and it’s been a lovely and informative read. It’s primarily about motherhood, something I don’t know about, and I have found it interesting to learn about what some of my friends would have gone through when they had their babies.
I’m about 25% into The Prince Without Sorrow by Maithree Wijesekara. I’m enjoying it so far, and though it’s mostly been setting up the world is very interesting.
Yesterday I also started A Barrister for the Earth by Monica Feria-Tinta. This details 10 legal cases the author has overseen where the planet was the client. I’ve read the first case so far and it’s been horrifying and inspiring in equal measure.
What have you recently finished?
I most recently finished Counterattacks at Thirty by Won-pyung Sohn, translated from Korean by Sean Lin Halbert. Overall, I liked it, but it didn’t impact me that much. The themes were great, but I didn’t really connect with the characters.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Her Majesty’s Royal Coven by Juno Dawson is definitely next up on my tbr. I’ve been meaning to read this for ages and it’s an r/Fantasy club pick in April. I will also start The Lost Folk by Lally Macbeth once I’ve finished my nonfiction books.
