Happy Wednesday! Another week gone, how are we almost in February???

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?
Just Finished…

In the last week I managed to read the whole of The Ballad of Perilous Graves by Alex Jennings.

This book was so wacky, and honestly, pretty confusing until about 50% of the way in. Despite that, I had a lot of fun with it right from the beginning. It’s a fantasy set in New Orleans, where the magic comes from music, and if you like the sound of that, then definitely check it out.

Currently…

Way of the Walker by Salinee Goldenberg.

I was sent this by Angry Robot for review. It’s a sequel to The Last Phi Hunter, which I read and really enjoyed last year. I think the setting is so cool, based in Thai mythology, so I’m really pleased to be back in it!

Also, epic cover, no?

Up Next…

My answers are the same as they were last week! I forgot that I had Way of the Walker to read for a tour, so I picked that up first, but my plan for the next books hasn’t changed.

YOU TELL ME: What are you currently reading?

  2. Ooh, love the sound of Thai mythology! That’s definitely one that’s not explored often, if at all, in fantasy. I hope it’s as enjoyable for you as the first book 🙂 Ballad of Perilous Graves sounds awesome too—music-based magic? How fun 😍 I hope you enjoy all the books you have coming up, Emma!
